2010 Warbird Shootout Survey

Posted by Warbird Outdoors on July 30, 2009 at 1:09 PM

Hello Everyone,

Want to say thanks to everyone for their support of Warbird's Tournament trail so far in the 2009 season. We want to make 2010 season bigger and better.  I have put together a little survey, looking for what the local tournament anglers are looking for in a team tournament trail. Feel free to pass this along to anyone you know that might be interested in fishing with Warbird Outdoors this year or next. Answer can also be Emailed to sales@warbirdoutdoors.com

1) How many tournaments would you like the season to consist of ?

2) Do you want any throw any tournaments?

3) Want to travel if so where?

4) How much for entry fee? Remember the lower the entry fee the lower the payback.

5) Do you want Special catagories if so what ?

6) Do you want Championship at year end ? Or just payout more day money

7) Do you want year end awards and prizes ? Or just payout more day money

8) Do you want piont system or total weight or both for the year ?

9)  Perfer to fish Saturdays or Sundays or during the Week ?

10) Would you be interested in fishing a His/Her and Youth/Adult Trail only that would consist of maybe three to four tournament a season.

Thanks a feel free to add any suggestions you might have.

First off I would like it if everyone would allow me to win more tournaments! I like your format as is. Maybe less events. I like the idea of a end of a year tourney. Gives rookies like me something to reach for. Schedule wise I say just try to keep it where other events do not conflict. I like the idea of a his and hers trail! Only 3 or 4 though my wife can't fish a lick!!!!!!!!!!!! Lol.... Also can we please kick Tank out of the trail? He wins to much!!!! J/K I love what your doing and I am having a blast and learning a bunch from a great group of guys!

Unfortunatley I haven't been able to fish any of the Warbird Shoot out trail tournaments this year so I understand my input may not be taken as seriously as others.
I do think that if there where fewer regular season tournaments that it would make it easier for me to fish. If I am going to fish a tournament series, I prefer to fish the whole thing and not just on empty weekends so fewer tourneys would help me do that.
Maybe an Anna Series would be nice.
As far as a his/hers series. Most definatley. Hopefully you can just keep the entry fees small like around $50 or so with 5 tournaments throughout the year and a classic. I think you'd be suprised with the turnout.

Good Luck with the rest of the 2009 season!

Thanks for taking the time to add your comments. I will be making some changes to the 2010 season. Warbird will definetly have less tournaments in the shootout series next year. There are some other changes that I think everyone will like for 2010. I will let everyone know what they are when i get all the details worked out. So keep the comments coming to help me make a decision for 2010.

Although i havent fished these tournaments yet I do plan fishing them with the girlfriend in 2010.
1. I like the idea of 10 tournaments,
2. throwing one or two away is ok
3. I do not like to travel away from the general area.
4. I think the entry fee you have set up is fine.
5. Im ok with either, special or just the traditional categories.
6. I like the idea of a championship
7. end of year prizes gives you something to shoot for
8. I like your point system, it gives those that have a bad tournament in the spring a change at the end of the year
9. flexible, weekends only for me though
10, would have to say yes to this one.
